Three people standing facing the camera, the far side of a glass scree, which is covered with blue, green and pink sticky notesAs a marketing student at Greenwich, you can expect a mix of theory and more practical work on your taught course. On top of that, we can offer students on our taught marketing courses more. Take the chance to apply to volunteer with Gen C, our in-house marketing agency, and you could find yourself working on real briefs for real clients!

The concept

The agency is run as an extra-curricular activity. You’d need to apply and be selected to take part but don’t let that deter you! Designed to simulate a real-world advertising environment, Gen C is where bold ideas meet real briefs, and where students can shape their futures - one campaign at a time.

Built for the curious, collaborative and creative, the agency offers a great chance to get hands-on experience across the different stages of live projects - insight, strategy, ideation, creative development and delivery.

Real projects. Real impact.

Led by David Jennings - whose industry experience includes creative campaign ideation and development for household name clients - students have been working in the 24/25 year on a variety of exciting projects. From developing social media and content strategies to designing creative concepts and brand awareness activities, students have taken on projects for non-profits and a well-known retailer.

Mentorship

GenC also pairs creativity with coaching. Participants are mentored by academic staff, and, where possible, industry professionals - all this helps provide a real insight into what success looks like in creative careers.
